In other batting news, Rocky Bell and Drew Lankford did most of the damage at the plate: Bell scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Lankford scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those three runs gave Lankford a new career-high.

The Fighting Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Salukis recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Norris City-Omaha-Enfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Sexton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Edwards County's record now sits at 3-0. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Edwards County took their victory against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edwards County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
