The Carlisle Thundering Herd will head out to  face off against the Big Spring Bulldogs  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
Carlisle fell victim to Chambersburg and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They lost  12-0 to the Trojans. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Thundering Herd in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

 Carlisle got a good showing from  Reese Thompson, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Thompson a new career-high in  strikeouts (three).
 Meanwhile, Big Spring  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past Central Dauphin East 10-0.
 Carlisle took their  win against Big Spring  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  8-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
