Kanab has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Parowan Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kanab has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 467 points over their last seven contests.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 11 to 2 on the offensive boards, a fact Kanab proved on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Sevier by a score of 62-52.
Kanab's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kyle Brown, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Cash Mortensen, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Mortensen hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. James Quinn was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Parowan pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Enterprise 59-55.
Kanab is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Parowan, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Kanab strolled past Parowan in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a score of 64-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kanab since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
