The Boone Grove Wolves will face off against the Kankakee Valley Kougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boone Grove is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Boone Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 9-5 win over Westville on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wolves with their most commanding win of the season.

Jordyn Botma was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Botma was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Zoey Powell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mercedes Szakacs, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Boone Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Highland hit Kankakee Valley with a five-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Kougars fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 9-8.
Kankakee Valley saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallorie Rose, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Rose has hit this season. Julia Mahmet was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Boone Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Kankakee Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything went Boone Grove's way against Kankakee Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Boone Grove made off with a 14-3 win. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Kougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
