The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 76-67 to Boiling Springs. While losing is never fun, Steelton-Highspire can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Bubblers are ranked 177th).
Boiling Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Lucido led the charge by scoring 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Yenser, who scored 17 points.
Steelton-Highspire has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Boiling Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Steelton-Highspire will head out on the road to challenge the Bubblers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boiling Springs, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
