Hawley came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Stamford Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 15-4 defeat.

Jake Bristow and Westin Womack did most of the damage at the plate: Bristow went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Womack got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Womack has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Romo, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hawley's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Stamford, they moved to 11-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hawley will be playing at home against Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stamford, they will face off against Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
