The Horseshoe Bend Generals have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were beaten by Lanett 60-25 on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Horseshoe Bend has scored all season.
Lanett got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nakeriona Heard out in front who scored 11 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christiana Brock, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Horseshoe Bend's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Lanett, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
Horseshoe Bend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lanett will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
