Last Tuesday, Providence Athletic Club came up short against Augusta E and fell 8-4.
Sam Joiner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered eight runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.
At the plate, Providence Athletic Club saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Edwards, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Edwards a new career-high in RBI (two).

He is becoming a predictor of Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Damien Lambert, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Providence Athletic Club's loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Providence Athletic Club has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
