Softball Recap: Shoreland Lutheran Extends Winning Streak to Six

Shoreland Lutheran came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights 20-10. Considering the Pacers have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Shoreland Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Brookfield Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shoreland Lutheran will challenge Martin Luther at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Pacers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brookfield Academy, they will face off against Luther Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Phoenix have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
