The Castleberry Lions will head out to take on the Decatur Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Castleberry took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-13 win over Life Waxahachie. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castleberry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Ford, who rushed for 219 yards and three scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also caught one TD. Ford has become a key player for the Lions: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Another pass catcher making a difference was Bryan Ceniceros, who picked up 172 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Castleberry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Decatur was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Southwest 62-6. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.
Castleberry better keep an eye on Jamari Fletcher. He was instrumental in Decatur's win, rushing for 109 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Fletcher a new career-high. Jake Milligan was another major influence, as he rushed for 26 yards and ran in a TD.
Decatur's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Southwest's side was Wesley Morton, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.
Decatur's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 55.5 points. As for Castleberry, their record now sits at 6-4.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Castleberry has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Decatur struggles in that department as they've been averaging 227.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
