Jerome lost a close one when they played on Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Monday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 9-0 loss at the hands of Twin Falls. The game marked that first time this season in which Jerome was not able to get on the board.
Burley's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for Jerome, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Everything went Burley's way against Jerome in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as Burley made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Burley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
