On Saturday Triad take on Yoncalla at 2:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close matchup.
Triad had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a serious blow against Dufur last week, falling 32-70.
Yoncalla had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Waldport as they made off with a 48-14 victory.
Yoncalla's win lifted them to 1-0 while Triad's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Yoncalla can add another positive mark to their record or if Triad can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Yoncalla's step.
