The Kimball Knights can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hillcrest 83-54 at home. The win was familiar territory for Kimball who now have six in a row.
Kimball got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marri Wickware out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Wickware has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylon Dean-vines, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hillcrest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Creed Vance, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saivon Johnson, who scored eight points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Kimball has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Kimball will head out on the road to challenge Molina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Molina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1224th, while Kimball is ranked 251st). As for Hillcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: John Price and Jed-ethan Nansha.
