Deming is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Silver is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wildcats will welcome the Fighting Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Deming got the win against Chaparral by a conclusive 17-1.
Katarina Baca was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Deming lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Silver put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Santa Teresa. The Fighting Colts blew past the Desert Warriors 15-0.
Like Deming, Silver also got a great game from a two-way player: Azariah Madrid. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Madrid was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple.

Silver has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Deming, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Deming has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Silver struggles in that department as they've averaged .494. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
