The Chamblee Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 83-43 victory over M.L. King on the road. With that win, Chamblee brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Alana Azeta continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 42 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Wood, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
M.L. King's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janaya Williams, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubriana Kirkland, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Chamblee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for M.L. King, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Chamblee will look to defend their home court on Saturday against North Atlanta at 2:00 p.m. M.L. King will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tucker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Tucker is ranked 447th, while M.L. King is ranked 460th).
