The Hays Rebels are taking a road trip to challenge the Leander Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hays sitting on five straight victories and Leander on six.
On Friday, Hays beat Cedar Park 5-1. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by exactly four runs.

| 03/18/26 vs Liberty Hill | 1 |
Teuila Eteaki was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Gabriella Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Leander came out on top against Liberty Hill on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run second inning. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 15-7 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Rachel Grundei, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Allen, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Leander kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Hays' record is now 17-6. As for Leander, their record now sits at 22-5-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Hays hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Leander struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Hays beat Leander 6-2 in their previous matchup on March 6th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
