The Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 61-55 loss to they. They have struggled against Grasso Tech recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Grasso Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerry Santiago, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Santiago pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charis Johnson, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists.
Harvard Ellis Tech's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Grasso Tech, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvard Ellis Tech will square off against Windham RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grasso Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Norwich RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwich RVT comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
