Medgar Evers College Prep fought the good fight in their overtime  game against Goldstein  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the  by a score of  56-54. Medgar Evers College Prep has struggled against Goldstein recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Medgar Evers College Prep's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Noah Scobie, who  scored 14 points along with five  assists, and  Dejon Williams who  scored 17 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyree Keitt, who  scored ten points.
 Medgar Evers College Prep's defeat  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-3. As for Goldstein, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medgar Evers College Prep will  square off against Wingate at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Goldstein will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tilden at 5:00  p.m.  on January 30th.
