It was a good run, but the Polk County Wolverines unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 55-48 to East Rutherford. Polk County has struggled against East Rutherford recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Polk County still got an impressive performance from Kylie Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Bradley, who scored five points along with six assists and three steals.
Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for East Rutherford, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their 22nd straight at home.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Brevard the next time they take the court. Polk County will head out to face Brevard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while East Rutherford will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
