Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Albany Academy for Girls at home and fell 64-17. While losing is never fun, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Albany Academy for Girls is ranked 33rd).
Rae Napierski was Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Kylie Whalen held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Catskill's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Watervliet.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Catskill, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-1 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk ended up a good deal behind Catskill in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 60-42. Can Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
