The Pender Pendragons can now show off 18 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They really took it to Howells-Dodge for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-50 victory on the road. Pender's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pender to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madalyn Dolliver, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Avery Wegner was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Jordyn Ratzlaff and Kenadie Throener certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ratzlaff scored 12 points, while Throener scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Bayer, who scored nine points.
Pender's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1. As for Howells-Dodge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
Pender does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Howells-Dodge, they will square off against St. Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Howells-Dodge surely won't give up without a fight.
