Basketball Game Preview: Many Farms Lobos vs. St. Johns Redskins

Many Farms hasn't had much luck against St. Johns recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Many Farms Lobos will welcome the St. Johns Redskins at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Thursday, Many Farms blew past Northland Prep Academy, posting a 53-19 victory. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Spartans are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jillian Begay continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 17 on her way to 16 points along with six boards and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abrianna Chato, who posted six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for St. Johns against Morenci on Saturday as the team secured a 63-11 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

St. Johns is also on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Many Farms, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
