It was a good run, but Van unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 47-31 to the Ennis Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vandals came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Lions are ranked 726th).

Van's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Ennis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.

Van wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-44 win against Greenville on the 28th. As for Ennis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-64 loss against Athens on the 28th.
