Williston-Elko extended the longest winning streak in A Region IV this week by beating Ridge Spring-Monetta, 55-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Williston-Elko made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,514 from 6,534. The improvement was the result of 55-14 victory over the Trojans last week.
Wagener-Salley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the War Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Malcolm Stroman has thrown for 252 yards and two touchdowns this season, while R. J. Tyler has seven catches for 153 yards. Trey Davis leads the league in rushing with 461 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Wagener-Salley takes on Hunter-Kinard-Tyler. The War Eagles' offense has racked up 314 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Trojans have allowed only 132 on the year.
A big matchup in A Region IV this week will be when Hunter-Kinard-Tyler takes on Wagener-Salley. At the moment, Dann Holland's team is in third, while Kenneth Tucker's team is in second.
