Silver Stage has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Incline Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. Silver Stage comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Saturday, Silver Stage took a serious blow against North Tahoe, falling 67-6. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Silver Stage has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Incline's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 48-14 loss at the hands of Sierra Lutheran. Incline was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.
Silver Stage bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.6 points per game. As for Incline, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Silver Stage didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Incline in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 30-26 victory. Will Silver Stage repeat their success, or does Incline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
