McDonogh is 7-2 against Annapolis Area Christian since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McDonogh Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Annapolis Area Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. McDonogh is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Last Monday, McDonogh faced Archbishop Spalding in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McDonogh fell 63-51 to Archbishop Spalding.
Meanwhile, Annapolis Area Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with an 80-72 victory over Indian Creek. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
McDonogh's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season.
McDonogh was able to grind out a solid win over Annapolis Area Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 63-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for McDonogh since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
