Softball Recap: E.E. Smith Takes a Loss

E.E. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pine Forest Trojans, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

E.E. Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pine Forest, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

E.E. Smith and Pine Forest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. E.E. Smith (ranked 409th) will meet Harnett Central (ranked 133rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pine Forest will challenge Triton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 190 places (302 vs. 112).
