Cedar Creek had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 48-38 victory over the Holmdel Hornets on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Aamir Dunbar had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 85 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cedar Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 211 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Cedar Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Frenchmon Bethea.

Cedar Creek's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Holmdel, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Cedar Creek will take on NV - Old Tappan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Golden Knights have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. Holmdel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
