Madill is 0-8 against the Indians since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Madill Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Plainview Indians at 6:30 p.m. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: E?niyah Holmes and Jacelyn Hammon.
Last Saturday, Madill took a serious blow against the Braves, falling 71-37. While losing is never fun, Madill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Braves are ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Plainview waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They secured a 42-36 W over Byng.
Plainview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emilee Hedger out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Hedger hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marya Southerland, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Madill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Plainview, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Madill couldn't quite finish off the Indians in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 32-30. Can Madill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
