Dayton extended their losing streak  to 19  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 10-20 in the process. They took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowry Buckaroos.  LaSade Conti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Dayton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sofia Ramirez, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
As for Lowry, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-6. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
On Lowry's side,  Makinley Hislop made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Hislop was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Adalyn Entwistle, who  went 2-for-3 with four  stolen bases and three  runs. Those  four  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
