West Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maysville Panthers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
  ZALINA PROPER made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.  KYLE MILLER also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
West Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Maysville,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 2-4 record.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Holmes will square off against Waynedale at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Maysville, they will take on Trimble at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Tomcats at the right time seeing as the Tomcats are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
