The Eagle's View Warriors were the 56-54 winner over the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eagle's View fell to Trinity Christian Academy 65-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), Eagle's View still had to take the loss.
Eagle's View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenneth Berry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Berry is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Justis Clements, who scored nine points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jordan Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Moricette, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Eagle's View and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle's View's road trip will continue as they head out to face Duval Charter at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Episcopal School of Jacksonville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian Academy in Florida (Episcopal School of Jacksonville is ranked 43rd, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 428th).
