Vidalia (Ga.) and
Bacon County (Alma, Ga.) both tightened up defensively, but Vidalia managed to score enough to pull out the 14-10 victory.
The Indians scored on two passing touchdowns to pull out the win.
The Raiders pulled ahead on a
Tra Hardy touchdown pass to
Jordan Black, and subsequently went into halftime leading 10-7. Vidalia scored the winning points with a
Dejarius Mincey touchdown pass to
Shaawn Hunter that came in the third quarter.
With the win VHS extended its winning streak to eight games. The Indians defeated the Redskins 42-7 last week.
Vidalia's most effective player was Black. He caught one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Dajuan Merritt made a difference for Bacon County. He ran for one touchdown.
BC's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Merritt in the second quarter.
VHS went into the matchup giving up only 9.3 points per game.
Bacon County (4-4) will play a AA Region 2 game against Atkinson County next week, while Vidalia (8-0) will take on Toombs County also in a AA Region 2 game.
