After taking the lead on a
Matt Shaffer touchdown pass to
Kyle Flick in the first quarter,
Richland (Johnstown, Pa.) led 41-7 at the half.
The Rams grew their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Richland scored once in the quarter on a Shaffer touchdown run.
Richland's standout player in the win was Shaffer. The senior quarterback.
Cambria Heights' only touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Richard Legros to Shawn Lacue in the second quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 42-14 win for the Johnstown school.
In a Laurel Highlands game next week Richland (1-0) takes on Bishop Guilfoyle, and Cambria Heights (0-1) will go up against Westmont Hilltop also in a Laurel Highlands game.
