Even though the North Blue Devils scored an imposing 71 points on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Hamilton Wildcats still came out on top. Milwaukee Hamilton narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past North 74-71. Winning may never get old, but Milwaukee Hamilton sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
North lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cayden Gibson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gibson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dmonte Davis, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Milwaukee Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Milwaukee Hamilton will be playing at home against Milwaukee Marshall on Saturday. Milwaukee Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Milwaukee Hamilton is ranked 118th). As for North, they will head out on the road to challenge Carmen Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carmen Northwest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully North likes a good challenge.
