The Cook Hornets struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Tift County Blue Devils had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Cook fell 54-41 to Tift County. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cook of the 59-54 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Cook lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryan Hawkins, who scored nine points along with two steals. Ny'shaun Wallace was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tift County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fred White, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Malachi Evans, who scored ten points.
Cook's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tift County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
