Mt. Carmel extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 12-3. They blew past the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs 13-7. Considering the Cubs have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Ascension Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-3 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 3.64 runs allowed.

For Ascension Catholic's part, Lillie Young made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Hebert, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coincidentally, Mt. Carmel and Ascension Catholic will both be playing St. Thomas More the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
