Softball Recap: Arab Wins Going Away Against Sardis

Arab hadn't done well against Sardis recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Knights were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Lions. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Lions on Monday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Emerson Christian was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karlee Preston, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Arab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Arab has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-17-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Sardis, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-14.

Arab didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Vestavia Hills on the 19th. Sardis has also already played their next match (against Etowah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
