The Scholars Guild Academy Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hills Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Hills Academy was led to victory by Adrian Campbell and Micah Pugh. Campbell scored 17 points, while Pugh scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralph Doomes III, who scored nine points.
Scholars Guild Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Hills Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scholars Guild Academy will take on Fideles Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Fideles Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 808 points over their last 12 contests. As for Hills Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Trinity Prep at 7:00 p.m.
