The Tolono Unity Rockets were the 47-46 winner over the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tolono Unity fell to the Spartans 48-44.
Despite the loss, Tolono Unity still got an impressive performance from Raegen Stringer, who scored 23 points along with five steals. That was a full 52.3% of Tolono Unity's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lauren Haas, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Tolono Unity's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolono Unity will take on the Sages at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Monticello is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 602nd, while the Spartans are ranked 208th).
