Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cambridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashley Moses, who scored 11 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Samantha Crandall was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Granville had strong showings from Ella Olsen, who scored four points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks, and Paige Taylor , who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Olsen also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Even though they lost, Granville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cambridge only pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.
Cambridge's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Granville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Cambridge will head out on the road to face off against Greenwich at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Greenwich is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Granville, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Corinth at 8:00 p.m. on December 13th.
