The Columbus Explorers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Plant Panthers. They were the clear victor by a 27-7 margin over the Panthers. Considering Columbus has won six matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The win was the fifth in a row for Columbus, bringing their record for this year to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points per game. As for Plant, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Columbus will square off against Mandarin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mandarin is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
