Oxbow put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Harwood Highlanders. The Olympians' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last six games.
Anastase Bourgeois made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Oxbow got a massive performance out of Mazie Bourgeois, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Abby Longto also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
