The King's Academy Knights struggled with assists on Thursday (the East Texas Homeschool Sports Chargers had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. King's Academy received a tough blow as they fell 61-44 to East Texas Homeschool Sports. King's Academy has not had much luck with East Texas Homeschool Sports recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Everett Hollis, who scored 21 points along with five blocks. Hollis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Tucker, who scored ten points.
East Texas Homeschool Sports got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Mason out in front who scored 22 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Mason hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Issac Hill, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
King's Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
King's Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tyler Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, they will be playing at home against Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
