Wekiva got a massive performance out of Devon Johnson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Johnson is becoming a predictor of Wekiva's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-10 when he doesn't). Enrique Polanco was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Gateway made easy work of Lake Buena Vista on Tuesday and carried off a 12-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Adrian Just was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Just was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wekiva has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Gateway struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
