Basketball Recap: Olive Branch Has No Trouble Against Grenada

Olive Branch won the last time they faced Grenada and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Olive Branch Conquistadors put the hurt on the Grenada Chargers with a sharp 74-48 victory. The Conquistadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Grenada lost, don't look at Carlei Brown. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Brown's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Woodard, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

Olive Branch has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Grenada, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Olive Branch will take on South Panola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. Grenada has already played their next game, a 62-46 win against Rosa Fort on the 15th.
