Florida Christian extended the longest winning streak in Southeastern - South this week by beating Miami Country Day, 41-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Archbishop Curley made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,323 from 13,011. The improvement was the result of 37-0 victory over Marathon last week.
LaSalle's dynamic duo of Joey McCain and Manny Readon proved tough for Coral Shores to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McCain threw for 66 yards and 25 touchdowns and Readon had 46 yards receiving. Montrel Thomas helped LaSalle's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Kenrry Tejedor was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 17 carries as Florida Christian defeated the Hurricanes. Teammate Julian Seekins added to the ground attack by rushing for 74 yards.
The Spartans' Michael Fente and Sam Cohen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fente has thrown for 660 yards this season, while Cohen, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 28 catches for 336 yards. Tejedor from the Patriots leads the league in rushing with 705 yards.
A big matchup in Southeastern - South this week will be when the Knights take on LaSalle. Archbishop Curley is in sixth place, while the Royal Lions are in second place.
