It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the South Holt Knights had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Plattsburg and snuck past 60-58. The win was just business as usual for South Holt, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading South Holt to victory were Cole Medsker and Kendall Noland. Medsker rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns, while Noland rushed for 270 yards and five touchdowns. Medsker is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
South Holt's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Plattsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-1.
South Holt will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Worth County/Northeast Nodaway. Worth County/Northeast Nodaway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully South Holt likes a good challenge. Plattsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
