Benjamin Franklin gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Chinle by a score of 7-4.
Brennan Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Jackson Mick and Cruz Hansen did most of the damage at the plate: Mick went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Hansen got on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Hansen a new career-high. Drake Gray was another key player, earning two runs and one stolen base.
Benjamin Franklin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Thatcher can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Globe 7-6.
The team relied heavily on Traekon ?TK? Kempton, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Boston Echols, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Thatcher, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Thatcher's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Benjamin Franklin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Thatcher, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Benjamin Franklin keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Benjamin Franklin might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Thatcher in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
