The Aquinas Blugolds's 28-2 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jordan on Friday. Aquinas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Samantha Davis and Madeline Murphy certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Davis dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Murphy scored 13 points along with 6 steals. Murphy scored a full 27.1% of Aquinas' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dobbins, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Aquinas now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Aquinas is on the road again on Saturday and play against Mayer Lutheran at 10:45 a.m. on November 25th. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Mahtomedi at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
